For some reason, people have gotten it into their heads that quinoa is difficult to cook. Well, it’s not. Follow these simple steps to make quinoa that is FLUFFY and PERFECT every time.

Total time
20 mins

Ingredients
  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water
  • a pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. Place quinoa, water and salt in a small saucepan and turn the heat up to high.
  2. When the water comes to a boil, cover and turn the heat down to low.
  3. Simmer covered for TEN MINUTES.
  4. After ten minutes, uncover and you’re done! Your quinoa should be fluffy and beautiful, just like you. If there’s still a little bit of water left, just keep the pot over low heat and keep stirring for a few minutes while that extra liquid evaporates.
Notes
We like to make our quinoa with plain water and a little salt so that we can flavor it later in whatever dish we're using it in, but if you plan to serve it straight up, you can also use vegetable broth in place of the water and omit the pinch of salt.
